  14.         XPCOM supports all normal modes of PACTOR operation,  including
  15.         ARQ and Unproto.  It also incorporates ARQ and Unproto listen
  16.         modes.

  38.         *Initiating an ARQ Link
  39.  
  40.             To initiate an PACTOR ARQ link use the following steps.
  41.  
  42.                 1.  Enter the other stations call by pressing F2.
  43.  
  44.                 2.  Press the ALT C keystroke sequence.
  45.  
  46.                 3.  The call of the other station will already be present,
  47.                         if the contact will be using a NORMAL path length press
  48.                         the return key.  If you wish to make the link a LONG PATH
  49.                         connect press the insert key followed by and exclamation
  50.                         point (!).  This tell the TNC to establish its link timing
  51.                         to accomodate a LONG PATH connection.  If the link is
  52.                         successful you will enter the Transmit mode.

  54.                 3.  Press the 'END' key, this will send the text that is defined
  55.                         in the Operating Parameters screen located in the Setup Menu.
  56.                         Define this text anyway you desire.

  59.                 NOTE -> The PAGE DOWN key may also be used to change a link
  60.                                 over to the other station.  If for some reason you
  61.                                 need to take over control of the link,  press ALT-F9.

  63.                                 This will force a change over on the link.

  85.                 1.  If the link is unsuccessful you should drop the link
  86.                         as soon as possible as to eliminate unnecessary
  87.                         intereference to other stations.

  89.                 2.  To drop press the 'HOME' key.  This will immediately
  90.                         drop the link and return the TNC to PACTOR standby mode.

  113.                 XPCOM has a very simple way of adding the call signs of the
  114.                 stations during an PACTOR contact.

  116.                 1.  Press the F2 key and enter the call of the other station.

  118.                 2.  After the call has been entered it may be imbedded into
  119.                         the outgoing text by pressing 'ALT I'.  This will
  120.                         place 'Othercall DE Yourcall' (W0AAA DE W0BBB) into
  121.                         the outgoing text buffer.  This text may be defined in
  122.                         the Operating Parameters.

  144.         *Ending an ARQ Contact

  146.                         To end an ARQ contact press the F4 function key.  This
  147.                         will send "DROPPING LINK DE YourCall" and also send the
  148.                         appropriate commands to the TNC.  This text may defined
  149.                         in the Operating Parameters screen.

  173.             To start an Unproto transmission, place the TNC in PACTOR Mode.
  174.             To do this, press the 'ALT-P' key sequence.

  209.         To call an automatic CQ press the F5 function key.  This will start
  210.         the CQ sequence as described in the Setup Menu section of this
  211.         document.  To abort the CQ press the F5 key.

  213.         If a station links to you an alarm will sound and the auto CQ will
  214.         be aborted.
  215.  
  216.         If you have Autosearch selected,  the program will search the log
  217.         for the station that connected.  If Display Mini log is on,  the other
  218.         station Name, QTH and last QSO information will be displayed.
